When you INNOV8, you win.

Experience the #LVDInnovationTour and you’ll be inspired by the latest sheet metal fabrication products and processes like our Easy-Form® Laser adaptive bending system – innovative technology designed to make bending easy.  You’ll also walk away with roadshow-branded merchandise as a thank-you for showing up to INNOV8.

Visitors to the Tour can also enter a grand prize drawing for a trip to LVD’s Experience Center at LVD headquarters in Gullegem, Belgium for travel in 2022. The winner can take a colleague on the trip (2 guests total). While at the XP Center, see new products, learn the secrets of a Smart Factory, discover LVD’s corporate vision, and connect with the engineers and product specialists that make LVD innovations possible.

The grand prize winner will also have the opportunity to enjoy some sightseeing time in Belgium. Recognized for its world-renowned chocolate and beer, here’s a few things you may not know about LVD’s homeland*:

  • Belgium is bright: The highway system in Belgium has so many lights that it’s the only country with a man-made structure visible from the moon.
  • A Belgian scientist was the mind behind the web: Robert Cailliau, Belgian engineer and scientist, is well-known today for the proposal, later developed with Tim Berners-Lee, of a hypertext system which eventually led to what we now call the ‘World Wide Web.’
  • Belgians are great inventors: The Belgian professor Edward J. de Smedt invented modern road asphalt in 1870 at Columbia University in New York City and named it ‘sheet asphalt pavement.’ Belgians are also great scientists, as astronomer and professor of physics Georges Lemaître proposed what became known as the ‘Big Bang theory’ of the origin of the universe.
